Summer here we come. The news is that Patrice Eyre of Centerville was able to travel here to visit her parents, Bill and Dawn Griffin and that is the final word on her name and address. Sorry! It's a good thing that Bill and Dawn have lots of bedrooms because daughter Nicki Excell, Ogden, brought friends Sheila Umbrell and June Stephenson, down to work on a quilt for her daughter's upcoming wedding and Brian Griffin is in the area working on his house in Boulder. Boul-der. Smith and Betty Alvey's granddaughter, grand-daughter, Stephanie Stokes, graduated gradu-ated from Bingham High School in Salt' Lake City and plans to go to SriBw College in Ephraim." The Alveys also had a visit from daughter daugh-ter Michelle and Amanda Alvey, Palmdale, Calif. . Sherie and Jerry Roundy came to assist with the flowers for the Patterson wedding. Burt and Dorothy Gee, Provo, were visiting Geneal and Hal Shurtz. They all went on to Mesa Verde, Colo. Valeria Huntington came to visit from Cedar City. Now the Shurtzes are on a "I Hear America Singing Tour" of 11 southern states with Jerry and Sh-eree Sh-eree Roundy. Margaret Townsend's daughter-in-law, Stacy Gibson is here for a few weeks from Federal Way, Wash. Water Commissioner Bob Mun-son Mun-son reports the completion of the $600,000. water project with the building of a new 500 gallon Peabody-Bolted water tank. This now doubles the town's culinary water supply and both tanks will serve the town simultaneously. Fay Alvey's sister-in-law, Sara Little and son, Dave, came from Midvale to visit her and sister Cecil Dawn Porter. Bob Nolan had 50-60 participants partici-pants here for the BLM Clean-up Day and they got a lot accomplished accom-plished at Calf Creek Campground. Local EMTs and volunteer fire department de-partment members also spent the day cleaning up their two miles of Highway 12, right through the middle of town. All the volunteers were treated to a dutch oven barbecued barbe-cued dinner at the old gym, cooked by Greg Christensen and paid for by the Garfield Travel Council. Entertainment Enter-tainment followed, by Quinn Griffin Grif-fin and daughters, Jamie, Kate and Brooke. Robin Simpson sang two numbers and Fay Alvey did her "Minnie Pearl" routine. Ruth Ann Oliver has put up an art exhibit of the Doyle Moosman family from Boulder in the Art Center at the library. She has track lighting which needs to be installed. in-stalled.
