Show L i - Erna Bybee Casebolt TROPIC, UTAH Erna Bybee Casebolt, 65, of Tropic, Utah, a devoted wife, mother, daughter, grandmother, sister and friend, died Feb. 2, 1995 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born Jan. 18 1930 in Tropic to Levi Marion and Ella Riding Bybee. She married Alfred William Harvey Casebolt June 2, 1950 in Las Vegas, Nev. The marriage was solemnized in the Provo LDS Temple Sept. 30, 1975. He died June 30, 1986. She is survived by three sons, three daughters and their spouses: Russell and Cheryl Casebolt, Chino, Calif.; Roger Casebolt, Tropic; Richard and Diane Case-bolt, Case-bolt, Houston, Tex.; Patrice and Allen Peterson, Katy, Tex.; Andrea and Chris McCormick, Tropic; and Sara Casebolt, Tropic; 16 grandchildren, grand-children, Ryan, Amy, Seth, Jennie and Jessica Casebolt; Brandon, Aaron, Meagan and Christie Peterson; Peter-son; David Crystal, Jason and Michael Casebolt; and Marty, Robbie, and Brent McCormick; three brothers and six sisters: Jean Syrett, Tropic; Clive Bybee, Tropic; Ella Bybee, Tropic; Clyde R. Bybee, Idaho; her twin Erma Clarke, Cannonville, Utah; Gio-vanna Gio-vanna Sudweeks, Tropic; Mary Kazan, Escalante, Utah; Mark Bybee, Panguitch, Utah; and Sandra Ward, Magna, Utah. She is preceded pre-ceded in death by her parents; husband; sister, June Bybee; three brothers, Walden Bybee, Cyril Bybee and Levi Frank Bybee. Funeral services were held Monday, Mon-day, Feb. 6 at the Tropic LDS Ward chapel where the family prayer was offered by Richard Casebolt. Prelude Pre-lude and postlude music was provided by Crystal Mortenson. Diane Casebolt offered the invocation invo-cation and the congregation sang "O, My Father." Sara Casebolt OrdellAlvey KANAB Ordell Alvey, age 83, died February 4, 1995 in the hospital in St. George, Utah. He was born August 3, 1911 in Escalante, Garfield County, Utah the third of eleven children born to Lafayette Alvey and Sarah May , Shirts. ;, Ordell grew up and attendecLcle- mentary school in Escalante. He was a lover of horses and spent most of his life working with horses and cattle and was very good at his trade. He served in the Army during World War II. While in the Army he married Ethel Smith on February 10, 1943 in New Orleans, LA. She passed away July 6, 1991 ' v IS; Erna Casebolt paid a tribute to her mother and daughter Andrea McCormick gave a history. Vocal selections, "He Sent His Son" and A Child's Prayer" and special remarks were provided by the grandchildren. They were accompanied by Crystal Mortensen and Allen Peterson. Bishop Lonnie Pollock offered closing remarks followed by a vocal selection by Crystal Casebolt, "He Is Risen" accompanied by Crystal Mortensen. The congregation sang "How Great Thou Art" followed by the benediction bene-diction offered by Cheryl Casebolt. Pallbearers were Allen Peterson, Chris McCormick, Brandon Peterson, Peter-son, Aaron Peterson, Ryan Case-bolt, Case-bolt, Rick Bybee, Aaron Bybee and Bob Syrett. Honorary pallbearers were Seth Casebolt, David Case-bolt, Case-bolt, Jason Casebolt, Michael Casebolt, Marty McCormick, Robby McCormick and Brent McCormick. Russell Casebolt dedicated the grave at Tropic Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, Utah. in Kanab. Ordell and Ethel lived in several Southern Utah towns, moving to Kanab for the second time several years ago. Survivors include three sisters and three brothers: Elva Barney and Cuma Demas of Sandy, Utah; Mcletia Butler of Richfield; L. Pcrsell Alvey of North Salt Lake; Quince Alvey of Las Vegas, Nev.; and William Alvey of Williams-port, Williams-port, Maryland. He was preceded in death by brothers and sisters: Otto, Merle, Geneva and Lillie. Graveside services were held Wednesday, Feb. 8, 1995 at the Kanab City Cemetery. |
