Show I Km By Harriet Priska 8264810 In one day recently I saw a fly, an ant and a small moth . . . amazing amaz-ing sights in this land of ice and snow. Must mean something. The senior bus got hit by a deer and it is in for repairs. Hopefully it will be fixed in the near future. Meals at the center are served at noon on Tuesday and 5 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. Special rates for those over 60, but younger adults are welcome. The center plans to have monthly parties this year as there are seven people in town who will celebrate their 90th birthday in 1995. The library is now part of a statewide "book lease" program. Librarian Sherry Bate announces that she recently ordered 98 newly published books including 7-8 on the New York Times best sellers list. These books will remain in the library as long as there is a demand de-mand for them and then they can be replaced with books of personal choice such as fiction, non-fiction, self-help books, child care and cooking to name a few. This program pro-gram starts in February and all are encouraged to use this new capability capabil-ity to have brand new books. A few more snow birds migrated to warmer climes recently including Philip and Harriet Priska who went to Blanding and Moab to visit Reed and Karen Munson then down to Prescott, Ariz, to see Gil and Ann Kreiger. They will be home by the time this is printed. Please call in with your news. This is your column and you make it happen! Thank you. |
