It is very important impor-tant that anyone hiking in Bryce Canyon be aware of the likely chance of thunder showers occurring in the afternoon hours. The Bryce Canyon National Park staff and volunteers are hard at work sorting the files to build an archival collection. The John Morlock brood enjoyed en-joyed a visit with John's brother, Bruce and wife, Vicki from Houston, Hous-ton, Tex. The Jerry Robker family has been experiencing quite a variety of family visits during the last few weeks. It all started with the Benson Ben-son family reunion in Pine Valley. Jerry and Linda's oldest daughter and son-in-law, Charisse and Buzz Mc-Culloch Mc-Culloch and five children from Crescent City, Calif., followed the Robkers home to Bryce for a visit. Linda's father and mother, Everett and Bemice Van Orden from Ocean-side, Ocean-side, Calif., were able to travel to Bryce to enjoy a visit with grandchildren grand-children and great-grandchildren. The next family visitors were the Robker's daughter and son-in-law, Marcelle and Jeff Troyna and four children from Crescent City, Calif. The lawn of the Robker home was full of tents and people having a great time catching up on all the latest family news. The Robker Resort was definitely running at full capacity and it is always pleasant pleas-ant to walk by their home and listen lis-ten to the peals of laughter as the kids bounce and flip on their new trampoline. , Genevieve Robker was selected to attend the Garkane Rural Electric Cooperative student sessions in Logan, Utah. She was chosen for this honor after taking a test and passing a personal interview. A number of families from Bryce Canyon enjoyed the spectacular spectacu-lar fireworks on Pioneer Days at Ruby's Inn. A farewell luncheon was held at the residential picnic area to say goodbye to Dick and Marge Rogers, Ricardo and Mickey North, Brian Ostereich, Laura Stanton, Sandy Hogan, Jana McCutchen, Bobby Bloodworth and Bill and Irene Carter. These folks represent Vol-unteers-in-Parks (VIPs), Student Conservation Aides, Seasonals and Artists-in-Residence. Their skills and expertise will be missed. The work continues on the new modular housing units. Jerry Robker and Cass Castagnetto traveled trav-eled to Salt Lake City to view the units that will be traveling to Bryce Canyon in the near future. |
