Show Panguitch, UP&L Sign 15-Year Pact Panguitch City committed to 15 more years of electrical power supplied sup-plied by Utah Power & Light at its regular Tuesday night meeting. With the defeat of last year's referendum to go to municipal power, the city will probably not be discussing a change of power supplier for many years. UP&L agreed to lease a 40-acre piece of land owned by the company com-pany to the city for use as a park. The city had sought tide to the land as part of refranchising with UP&L but was unsuccessful. UP&L has promised to participate partici-pate in a feasibility study on a golf course for the city and will upgrade some of its local poles to improve their appearance. In other business the council approved purchase of a police car and will fund for another year in the joint GarfieldKane County task force. |
