Show Batch Happenings j v Velma Huntington 735-4231 A large number of our ward members attended Panguitch Stake Conference Saturday evening and Sunday morning in Panguitch. Effel Riggs accompanied Merle Stowell, Panguitch, as far as Nephi, where she visited the Jens Mickelsens. They took her on to Salt Lake City to the Hansen Planetarium where they had a special party to honor all people who saw "Halley's Comet" in 1910. She was one of the honored guests of over 300 people over 80 years of age. Janice Ross and Aaron Ross returned to their home in Flagstaff, Arizona, after several weeks visit with her folks, Mr. and Mrs. Leland Riggs while Dan Ross was in Alaska on government business. Visiting over the weekend with Leland and Adell were Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cope, Ely, Nev., and Mr, and Mrs. Allen Riggs, Cedar City. Julia Wise, West Point, Ut. and Dorothy Emily, Grantsville, visited Abble Fallis, then packed her clothes and took her with them to : spend the winter with her children in northern Utah, Idaho and Nevada. I The Wayne Stubbs, Parowan, 1 visited overnight with Mr. and Mrs. 1 Grant Dalton. The Daltons and the I Stubbs all attended a dinner Friday at Ruby's Inn, where the Stubbs' son, Brandt Stubbs, and a friend, Sheri Dodds, Cedar City, entertained by clogging at the Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Grant Dalton enjoyed Sunday dinner with the Bruce Daltons. Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Eric Bar-nhurst were Mr. and Mrs. Roy Scott and Lee Scott, Salt Lake City; Mr. and Mrs. Garald Wilcock, Payson; Mr. and Mrs. Usher Wilcock, Milford enroute to Texas to visit their daughter Brenda and her Joel Dunlap. Danny larnhurst, Salt lake City, visited lem Monday and Tuesday, Jerry Law arrived home the first f the week after visiting his Iusband aughter Kathy nnd her husband im Selyards, Colorado. While there, Jerry had the honor of seeing 9 his second grandson, a little new one that just arrived. The Selyards have I another son. Jerry received word lately of his first granddaughter. She arrived in Long Beach, Calif., to parents Mr. 1 and Mrs. David Law. I A large crowd of relatives and friends from surrounding towns B attended the wedding and reception BJ Friday evening for Mr. and Mrs. Eric (Deon) Lathlm. Those visiting I at the LaVal Sawyer home from out I of town were Eric's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Byron Lathim, Fredonia, I Ariz.; Mr, and Mrs. Allen Hum- I pheries, grandparents of Deon and Emma . Rae Humpheries, I Hurricane; the Jeff Rhees, Page, Ariz.; and Kimball Sawyer from M Arizona. 9 Visiting Mr. and Mrs. David " Sawyer were Mr. and Mrs. Kerry 1 Sawyer, Panguitch; and Kent Sawyer, Cedar City. Jeff Sawyers spent several days in Cedar City I visiting his mother, Marsha Williams and brother, Eric Sawyer! m Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer visited 1 relatives Sat. I Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans visited a few days in Hurricane with tho I Deloy Evans. They also visited in Washington City with the Clark L. Evans family, I Vay Sawyer, Fredonia, Ariz. visited overnight with his mother, I Verda Sawyer. The Brent Mackelprangs from Fredonia also visited her. I Visiting Mr. and Mrs. Karl 1 Lowder were Velta Sawyer and Vaneta Sawyer. Sunday Mr, and I Mrs. Iwder visited the Ron Riggs, Panguitch. I After spending two weeks in their I home here, Mr. and Mrs. Leon Wooley returned to their home In 1 Orem. I The Primary officers and teachers entertained the children of I the ward Thursday evening in a I Halloween party. Halloween Eve the Little Spooks were "Trie or I " Treating" all over town. |
