Show Survival Class Slated at Anasazi Park A day-long course on survival techniques used by Southwestern Indians 750 years ago will be held Saturday, Oct. 26 by the Utah Musuem of Natural History at the Anasazi State Historical Monument near Boulder. Fire building, flint knapping, finding natural sources of cordage and other survival methods will be demonstrated by Larry Davis, chief ranger at the state monument. Instruction and a book included with the $20 tuition will focus on how the Anasazi adapted to the desert environment to become the dominate precolumbian culture in the area.
