Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Joyce Hinman visited with members of the Richard Ott family living in Tropic. Mr. and Mrs. Max Ronquist and family visited LaRene Munson. Ida Kennedy had two of her daughters and their famileis home for a few days. Mr. and Mrs. Kay (Maggie) Willis had several of their children home ' for a few days visit. Daughter Julie and family have moved back to Hawthorne for the winter. Danny Chynoweth' and family ' visited with the Gene Chynowethsl Danny is employed in Cedar City. Eva Dean Francisco had cousin Norma Houcee spent a few hours visiting with her. Mr. and Mrs. LaMar (Ethel) LeFevre were at Brian Head helping son Leslie and family move into their home. The Virgil Pollocks had all of their ' family home to attend the Willis family reunion in Henrieville. Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Adair, Mr. and Mrs. LaMar LeFevre, Mr. and Mrs. Obie Shakespear, Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Bee and Margaret M-Mecham went to the Henry Mountains with the Senior Citizens. Mr, and Mrs. Dennis (Brenda) Shakespear visited with the Clare Ramsay family. Mr. and Mrs. Martin Ramsay have moved into the Nancy Bales home which they recently purchased. The Royal Alveys had sons Kim and Kenneth and families home for a visit. Marian Shakespear had son Val and family as weekend visitors. The genealogical library is open. Anyone wishing to use it should contact Marian Shakespear, June Shakespear, or John Clarke for apointments. Nancy Bradshaw was a visitor at the Clive Bybee home. Maureen Drigger, Nelda Messer, and Glenna Iverson were visitors at Viva Mechams. The Obie Shakespears enjoyed a visit from daughter Joann and husband. Dale Cummings and Susan Cummings were baptized into the LDS church and welcomed as members in the Tropic ward. Keela Mangum made a trip to Salt Lake City to bring her mother home. She and Paul were in Grand Canyon the forepart of the week on business. The Primary children presented the program in sacrament meeting. Mr. and Mrs. Malen (Sara) Mecham were in St. George for eye appointments. Carol Stewart was released as the Valiant B. teacher in primary and Vickie Ahlstrom as the CTR-B teacher. Sustained as teachers were Susan Foster in the nursery. Mr. and Mrs. Duane (Carolyn) Stewart as combined CTR, Keela Mangum as 9-year-den mother and Mr, and Mrs. Gordon (Sharron) Pollock CTR-B leaders. Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Shakespear attended funeral services for Julie Gardner in Beryl. The Tropic visitors center will close Sept. 14 for the season. Reports are that It has been very successful this year.. |
