Show Tropic Topics Ella Adair Mr. and Mrs. John Niemann made a trip to Delta to assist son Todd, whose trailer home had been destroyed by fire. Margie Bee is in Los Angeles visiting with her daughter. RelKay Sudweeks is in Salt Lake City working. Glenna Pollock made a trip to St, George to the eye doctor. The George Wilsons were in St. George and visited with Lucy Shakespear. Mr. and Mrs. Malen Littlefield spent a week at the temple in St, George. While there she fell and broke a bone in her foot. Mr. and Mrs. Ray Littlefield and daughter were in Fredonia for daughter Christine's birthday dinner. LaRene Munson, Marian Shakespear, Margaret Mecham and Carol Stewart are in St. George this week attending the LDS Temple. LuElla Mangum is staying with son Kay and family. The Senior Citizens will have their monthly evening dinner tonight at 6 p.m. in the scout house. The Lady Lions held their annual sweetheart dinner at Rubys Inn. Roy Shakespear is a patient in the Garfield Memorial Hospital. Ursel Ott is in the hospital in Provo. Jack Chynoweth has returned home from a stay in the hospital in Panguitch. John and Larraine Niemann are the parents of a baby girl born Feb. 12th in the Garfield Memorial Hospital. Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Clarke and children are visiting at the Lester Clarke home. Several attended the Boy Scout dinner and Court of Honor held in Escalante. Quinn Griffin and Dal Listen were the speakers in sacrament meeting. Herbert Baugh was released as the Blazer B leader, replaced by Jeanee Shakespear. Margaret Mecham was released as the in-service leader of the Primary; Rachel Ahlstrom will take her place. A stake young folks Valentine activity was held Tuesday in the school gym. Memberships for Mr. and Mrs. Kevin Shakespear were read in sacrament meeting. The Bart Palmer family visited in Tropic. Darrell Shakespear visited with Ora Brinkerhoff . Her daughter Rose and husband were also visitors. The John Redfords spent a week with daughter Margaret Mecham. Mr. and Mrs. Paul Mangum and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry German are spending four days this week in Denver, attending a conference. |
