Show Christmas Tree Permit Sales Dates Slated Donald Pendleton, district manager, Bureau of Land Management, Richfield has announced that Christmas tree permits will go on sale November 19. This will accommodate those who like to cut their tree during the Thanksgiving holidays. Christmas trees will be $3.00 per tree this year, and permits will be available from the following offices: Richfield District Office, 150 East 900 North, Richfield, Utah 84701. Henry Mountain Resource Area Office, P.O. Box 99, Hanksville, Utah 84734 - (Wayne County, Garfield County east of Capitol Reef National Park). Sevier River Resource Area Office, 180 North 100 East, Richfield, Utah 84701 - (Sanpete, Sevier, and Piute Counties). Tree permits will be sold one per family. They may be requested by mail from the Richfield District Office, Sevier River Resource Area Office and the Hanksville Office, but such requests will be limited to one permit per letter. Trees are widely scattered and permits are non-refundable. Mr. Pendleton suggested that Interested persons write or visit the resource area offices for their permits, rather than the district office. The House Range Resource Area Office in Fillmore will not be issuing permits through the mail this year. They will issue permits in the field on two different weekends. Permits (one per family) will be issued at the old grain silos along U.S. Highway 36 approximately six miles southwest of Eureka on November 23 and 24 and on December 7 and 8 from 9:00 a.rtv lb 3:00 p.m. One should call in advance of the second weekend to insure that there are permits left The phone number is 801-743-6811. |
