Garkane Power Set-Up Editor: Recently we were given the . results of the Garkane Power election, to move or not to move the main office from Richfield to Or-derville. If I have seen a set-up in my life, that was it. The letter that came with the ballot has all of the pretense and indications of an unfair one-sided information for the voters to decide a very important issue. To name a few: 1. The main office located totally outside of the business and service area is not very wise. 2. No public hearing for those concerned to hear the pros and cons discussed. 3. A clever letter with the timing as such as to not allow those who were in favor of the motion to prepare the material and to get it to all of the voters. 4. I have a strong belief that the statement on the financing was incorrect on several points. And some items were not mentioned, such as the property in Orderville was to be donated. No mention of the sale of the property in Richfield, which would help reduce the cost of moving, and other questions as to the financing of the project. 5. Always when people are to vote, both sides of the issue are given an opportunity to speak and have printed material sent to the voters, who are the owners of the association, so they can have full knowledge of both sides of the issue. .As stated earlier, this was a shifty, " well planned, deceptive "scheme to keep the Garkane office in Richfield. Why, why? Now I wonder how many ilfegaf actions that may have been committed. I also believe the people who have the right to vote, should. Let it be known that we want a truly fair election, with all parts of the election done fairly and above board. It is evident that many of the voters were confused and did not vote because they had only one side of the facts. If we have a person who plays behind the scenes to accomplish his m,eans, maybe a stronger set of actions should be considered. The proof of true intentions will be evident after this information is received. A resident and property owner in Orderville, EulisE.Hubbs P.O. Box 165 Orderville, Utah 84758 Help With Article Editor: I'm considering the preparation of an article on "No" as it appears in the names of a number of places and features in the United States. One such feature I've heard about is No Man Mesa in Garfield Co. Can anyone tell me anything about this feature: its precise location in terms of direction and distance from Richfield; its areal dimensions and elevation; when, how, why, and by whom it was given its name ; and if it ever had any other names. Any help your readers can give me would be most appreciated and any information .used in a publication will be appropriately acknoweldged. Sincerely yours, s Robert M.
