Show Panguitch Gted For Community Progress Panguitch residents can be proud of the latest recognition awarded their community. Panguitch recently received two plaques, the Utah Community Progress Certificate of Achievement for Continuous Participation in Utah Community Progress during the 1974-1984 decade, and the Utah Community Progress 1982-1984 Certificate of Recognition presented to Panguitch for Most Overall Progress, a third place award with a check for $200. Both plaques were signed by Utah's Governor Scott Matheson. Panguitch won Its first award by planning and initiating human 1 relationships and cultural enrichment programs. Other standards were, economic development, physical environmental improvements and community service. Achieving All-Utah community status is a twenyear project ending with an evaluation by qualified judges at the end of each biennium, The second award was presented for meeting the following criteria: setting community goals, developing a plan of action showing the necessary human and physical resources needed to achieve the goal, and working towards the accomplishment of each goal.
