Show Hatch Happenings Velma Huntington The family of Albert and Alice Smith held their reunion here at the park. Estella Itiggs was hostess. Visiting a few days were Mr. and Mrs. Ray Hoffman, Draper and the Ralph Riggs, Enterprise. Mr. and Mrs. Russell Wilson, St. George took his mother, Lilith Wilson, to Salt Lake City where they attended the marriage in the temple for her granddaughter, Cindi Davis and Tony Wood. The Wilsons also attended the wedding breakfast. Lilith received word Aug. 1st of a new granddaughter. Her parents are Robert and Saberina Wilson, Ivins. Visiting Lilith were Kent Wilson and four sons, Parowan; the Richard and the Karl Wilsons, St. George. Mr. and Mrs. G D. Wilson, Rich- field visited with Lilith and tne Calvin Wilson . Wilford Lane, Page, Ariz, visited the Calvin Wilsons and took his family home after their weeks visit. Jean Barnhurst and Lenore Randolph took Traci Fagg with them the first of the week when they went home to West Jordan. The Emery and Welthary Tait family reunion was held at pink point on the mammoth all this week. They are having fun visiting, camping and fishing. Visiting this week with Mr. and Mrs. Nile Sawyer are grandchildren Jesse and Rebecca Pirtle, Spring City. Mr. and Mrs. Orlin Frehner, Levan are visiting in town with friends. The infant son of Casey and Jessie Dix, Price was blessed in sacrament meeting and given the name Brian Patrick Dix by his great-great uncle Wiley Huntington. After church, the family met at the baby's great grandma Huntington's home for a family dinner with grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix, Roberta Irish, April Dix and Kristy Barabas, Panguitch; the Richard Dixes, Parowan; the Tom Woods, the Casey Dixes, Price; the Karl Lowders and Phillip Croft, Or-derville. The Jesse and Alice Lowder family reunion was held at the Max Burrows home in '01 town Hatch'. Karl Lowder was host. There were 100 family members present. All the brothers were there and two of the sisters. During the week Mr. and Mrs. Klar Lowder went to St. George where Karl received medical attention for his leg. Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Marble went to Portland, Wash., on business. Their children stayed to visit grandparents, the Lamar Barneys. Mr. and Mrs. Jim McCormic returned home from Idaho Falls where they visited their son for two weeks. Trudy Fagg is home visiting her folks, the Gary Faggs. She has been in Cedar City to school. Shannon, Travis and Shawnee Clark and Danny Button, Kanab were overnight visitors with the Grant Daltons and Clark Evans, Salt Lake City. Buddy and Wynn Walker, Merlin and Chris Thompson, Las Vegas are here at the Walker's cottage and enjoying fishing and visiting. The Lee Syphus, Salina are here at their summer home. Mr. and Mrs. Joe Jourdan, Maria and Dawn Briese, Calif, are here visiting and helping at their cafe for a few weeks. Jimmy Burrows, Kanab was in town visiting friends and relatives. Bert Barnhurst, Cedar City visited his mother, Maggie Barnhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Layton Barney attended a Gaud and Elizabeth Barton family reunion at Lehman Caves, Nevada. The family of David J. Wilson held their family reunion at Hillsdale, a ghost town north of Hatch. Over 100 members were present. Deloy Evans visited his folks, the Lynn Evans. Deloy and Lynn went to No. Ogden to visit Ireta Burrows. Deloy took Tommy back to Hurricane after a weeks visit with his grandparents. Kurt, Aimee and Colter Sawyer, Cedar City visited Mr. and Mrs. David Sawyer several days. The Darol Allreds left for their home in Odessa, Texas after visiting her mother, Velma Huntington. |
