Show LETTERS TO THE EDITOR . Editor: After reading the front page article on your Dec.'29th issue titled "Move Headquarters here, Tropic Requests Garkane", we, the City Council of Hatch, feel compelled to respond with the following letter. There are several towns in the vicinity who would like Garkane to move their corporate headquarters to their respective areas, all for very obvious reasons. We feel all these towns involved with this matter should receive equal and fair news media coverage, stating their reason for re-locating Garkane in their town. Hatch has represented is appeal to Garkane Power Association to relocate in our town. We have pointed out to the company's board of directors that Garkane's first office was in Hatch and that this is where Garkane was started. As indicated by an REA study a few years ago, Hatch is the center of the Garkane system. As a further incentive, Hatch is located on Highway 89, which is an ideal artery for material delivery and disbursement of materials to other areas. Garkane already has a good start on existing buildings, etc. in Hatch, as well as available surrounding ground for expansion, etc., all located on Highway 89. What is your opinion?
