Show Panguitch Questers will be the driving force behind next week's effort to secure blood donors. Voters can Club to Assist Red Cross Blood Drive Local service organization, the Panguitch Questers, will be actively soliciting donors and will assist with volunteer workers in next week's blood donor drive. The Utah Valley Blook Bank will be conducting a special Blood Drive at Garfield Memorial hospital Oct. 5 and 6. Hours are from 2 to 7 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Blood Bank coordinator, Karen Hawthorne, noted that there has been a heavy demand on blood supplies this summer and requested that community members might take time out of their give at Garfield Memorial Hospital on Tuesday from 2 to 7 p.m. and on Wed. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. busy day to help replenish the blood bank's supply. Anyone between the ages of 18 and 66 can donate blood as long as they are in good health. Doners are reminded to have a good meal prior to volunteering to donate. Recruiters noted that giving blood to help a friend, loved one or merely someone in need can be one of life's truly rewarding experiences. Not only can donating now make a life and death dif fer?nce, but credit toward any future family accident or illness will be recorded. |
