Show Volunteers For Little League Program Sought Volunteers are needed for this year's Panguitch-Hatch Little League to assist in making this year's season a success. Bruce Heywood, president of the league, announced that the drive for help is now underway. Umpires, referees and team mothers are needed. In addition to Heywood, officers this year include: Henry Jolley, boys' vice president; Marlene Miller, girls' vice president; Laura Julander, secretary-treasurer; Bob Lowe, umpires supervisor and Loretta Linford, fundraiser chairman. Last year there were three teams each for boys and girls with hopes of expanding to four each this year. Interested youngsters may contact any officer for additional information on joining the league. An organizational meeting for parents of participants will be held April 14, with a follow-up meeting for drafting this year's teams set for April 24. Little League play will start around mid-May. Team mothers are especially being sought to aid the group. |
