Show Panguitch Patter Dy Hazel Houston Mary Lee has been in the Lander Valley Hospital at Lander, Wyo. and at the home of Elenor and J.R. Judd in Lander. She hopes to be home soon. Clem and Mary Ann Church had a birthday dinner for Mary Henrie on Sunday, January 11, Florence Houston was there to help celebrate Mary's birthday. Mark and Joyce Sevy, St. G eorge, dropped by to visit. They reported their horse came In second in Phoenix. Owners are Clem, Mark, Wayne Houston and Linford Orton. Wayne is also the trainer. Bert Morris spent last week in Beaver Hospital. She will have gall bladder surgery Monday. Her friends can write co Beaver Hospital, Beaver, Utah 84713. Also in Beaver Hospital was Jean Hansen, with a pinched nerve. Melba Davis' brother, Grant and Nelda Evans, daughter, Jerry Moon and son, Arlan came for Martha Orton's funeral. Panguitch Lions Club members have finished taking down the Christmas decorations in town. Rulon and Fay Ella Prince report that several members of their family have been in the hospital, Merle who lives in Colorado has been In with kidney stones, daughter Rula Porter, who lives in Central, has had ear surgery, and Howard Kay who lives in Salt Lake City has had surgery for ulcers. Vernon and Iletta Reid have returned home after spending the holidays with their daughters: Jay and Rosemary Chris tens en at Granger; Robert and Iletta Green, Bountiful; and Francis and Carol Ann Spencer, Midway. They attended a concert at the Magna Stake Center presented by the Keystones, a 40 voice ladies chorus, of which Rosemary is a member, Rosemary also conducted the ward choir at the Granger 5th Ward Christmas program, presented by the Sunday School, and Primary. On Dec. 26, they attended a baptismal service in the Salt. Lake Tabernacle baptistry where granddaughter Rosalie Christensen was baptized by her brother Gordon and confirmed by her father, with grandpa Reid assisting. Following, they went through Temple Square. The three families spent Christinas eve at the Green home in Bountiful, with part of the group staying over for Christmas. They were also guests at the home of Kevin and Cynthia Bangerter and only great grandson, Nicholas. They shared New Year's Day at Midway with the Spencers, daughter Charice Kohler and baby Christy Lee, their only great granddaughter. Hazel Houston spent last week in Salt Lake City attending school for new accounts for the' bank. While she was there she had lunch with Alta Rae Hansen, Salt Lake City and Doris Woodbury of Nephi. Alta Rae had a bad fall Wednesday night and had to have five stitches in her scalp. She was sent to bed for several days and is feeling much better now. |
