Show NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER FOR SALE NATIONAL FOREST TIMBER SALE, DIXIE NATIONAL FOREST, GRIMES CREEK SALE, located within T33S and T24S; R34E, SLB&M. SEALED Dlds will be received by the Forest Supervisor, Federal Building, P.O. Box 580, Cedar City, Utah at 2:00 p.m. local time at the place of bid opening, July 6, 1981, to be followed immediately by oral bidding for an estimated 7,359 M board feet of timber designated for cutting. The minimum acceptable bid per M board feet is: $20.11 net for live ponderosa pine and other species, and $.95 gross for dead ponderosa pine. The bid rate for green timber will be subject to adjustment during the period of sale as provided for by the quarterly adjustment provisions of the timber sale contract. The dead timber will be paid for lump sum at flat rates. The purchaser will be required to pay for the dead volume but removal of the material is at the purchaser's option. If a dead tree is cut and it meets utilization standards, removal is required. Additional " deposit required for slash disposal is $9.13 per M board feet of all live trees. Additional required d deposit per M board feet for all species for surface rock replacement on existing Forest roads Is $2.06. Deposit will be required for all green material and removed dead material. In accordance with the National Forest Management Act of 1976, a bidder qualifying as a small business under the Small Business Act (as amended and the regulations Issued thereunder) may elect at the time of sealed bid submission to have the Forest Service construct the included specified roads. If the bidder elects to have the Forest Service construct the roads, the price paid for the timber shall include the estimated construction cost which is $477,652. Such roads will be constructed to the design classes and in accordance with drawings and specifications included m the sample contract. Purchaser Credit Limit is stated in the sample contract and is $416,605. Purchase credits available at advertised rates are $106,989. Specified roads, whether constructed by the purchaser or the , Forest Service, shall be completed by August 31, 1982. (Final date for completion of all road construction.) If the purchaser elects to have the Forest Service construct the roads, the Forest Service In tends to perform construction by contract. When the Forest Service intends to construct the road through a contract, the award of the timber sale contract will not be made unless either a satisfactory road construction bid is received, or if Forest Service falls to receive such a bid within 120 days of opening timber sale bids, bidder agrees to perform road construction. All Included timber shall be given domestic processing. Bidders are advised that violation of the domestic processing requirement constitutes breach of contract, and may result in contract cancellation or in refusal to award timber sale to violator, or debarment or suspension from bidding on future timber sales. If total bid value plus required deposits exceed one million dollars ($1,000,000) an EEO compliance review shall be made to determine if the provisions of Executive Order 11246 have been complied with before award can be mpde. The required bid guarantee is $3,400.00. The right to reject any and all bids is reserved.
