Show Cast members of "Desperate Ambrose" at Escalante High School readied their performance by staging this final dress rehearsal the day of the production. Escalante Elementary students were treated to the comedy western play in late afternoon while townsfolk caught the production on both Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. Escalante Class Play Proclaimed 'Success' ESCALANTE - The culmination of many hours of hard work and dedication on the part of students in Escalante High School's journalism class paid off this week with the final presentation of their comedy play "Desperate Ambrose." . Students in Louise Liston's journalism class, although having to stage their play several weeks earlier than planned due tc school calendar conflicts, nevertheless, gave a memorable as well as entertaining presentation for parents and friends attending from the Escalante and Boulder areas. Performances this week included a special preview for elementary students on Tuesday after the lunch hour and two main performances both set for 8:00 on Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs. Liston expressed that she was "extremely" proud of how students pulled together as a cast and as friends to try to present their production under such a tight time frame. She especially noted the efforts of stage managers Preston Woolsey, Billy Spencer and Sherwood Wilson; of those in charge of advertising and programs, Gwen Lyman and Beth Williams and for Tammi Coleman for her help as prompter and props person. Liston further noted the "united" spirit and cooperative attitude of cast members in working through endless details prior to Tuesday's K B presentation.
