Show Credit Union Elects Heads CANNONVILLE The first annual meeting of the Bryce Valley Credit Union was held March 26 and officers were elected. The group met at Cannonville Community Center with more than 40 people attending. Reports were given by members of the board of directors of the organization formed one year ago to serve the south central part of Garfield County. Ken Piatt, chairman of the supervisory committee, gave his audit report. Members of his committee are Mae Twitchell and Ruth Baugh. Guy Thompson reported for the educational committee and Kay Mangum, reporting for Oscar Willis who was out-of-state, outlined the progress of the institution's credit committee. He noted that funds were sufficient to allow approval of all loan applications that had been made in the past year and that there were no delinquent loans outstanding. Betty Henderson gave the treasurer's report, explaining surplus funds are deposited with Corporate Central in Salt Lake City where they draw interest. New officers were elected. Two year directors will be Wallace Ott, Cliel Fletcher, and Fred Syrett and one year directors will be Laurie Dea Holley, Jim Clarke, Guy Thompson and Betty Henderson. Elected as members of the credit committee were Oscar Willis for two years, and Joe Thompson and Kay Mangum for one year each. Directors of the Bryce Valley Credit Union indicated that growth is steady and prospects bright for the summer.
