Show Roller Rink-Recreation Center Opens to Public M. Some 180 skaters participated in roller skating Friday evening and 70 people were in attendance at the movie shown on Saturday as the Panguitch Social Hall opened its doors for the first time since its renovation as a recreational center for Panguitch citizens. Plans are being made now for skating on Fridays from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. for elementary children only and from 8 p.m, until 10 p.m. for youngsters from 6th grade on up. The steering committee is attempting to work out details for efficient operation and use of the facility and welcomes community input. Suggestions should be made to Roy Burger, Jerry LeFevre, Nick Lundstrom, or Rick Burningham. A target grand opening date has been tentatively set for April 19 with volunteers still needed to help complete painting in time for the grand opening. Adult volunteers are needed to paint on Tuesday evenings, April 8 and 15, and on Saturdays, April 5 and 12, after 1 p.m. Volunteers for painting should contact Bruce Owens. |
