Show Travel Council Is Advertising Color Country Two tit) second tripes advertising I'tah's Color Country were played to the Garfield County Advertising Committee by Marv Bell of the Utah Travel Council A show will be in Salt Uike City March 14 to the 19. Color Country Brochure will be mailed soon and has hecn revised with some of I he following ( hanges The section about Glen Canyon will be shortened and added that Garfield County is the headquarters to see l.ake Powell, and the north rim of the Grand i 'any on. In the brochure Pine Forest will be .hanged to Dixie National Forest Panguitch Lake will be open June through October. All mention of numbers of motels and hotels will be deleted Otter Creek in Antimony will be mentioned Red Canyon Campgrounds will be listed as "good" as opposed to "primitive." Horseback riding to Butch Cassidy Draw will be mentioned A map lo show perspective will be included. The cost of the brochure is $2,000 minimum for 25,000 copies. There is $3,000 left in the budget for this year This money will be saved for the visitors center expense. Heed Wooley has offered to give the Garfield County advertising committee some land for the visitors center located on Highway 12 Wooley will be notified of the next meeting to discuss the offer more completely. The next meeting will be March 2 at 3 p.m. at the Bryce Way Motel. |
