Show Management Input Asked The National Park Service invites public comment and recommendations for the preparation of a General Management Plan to guide future management and development of Bryce Canyon National Park in southern Utah. The General Management Plan is a document that addresses the many and varied facets associated with facility and resource management It will update a park master plan which was completed in 1966 Since that time, there have been many changes in the extent and nature of public use of Bryce Canyon. The initial task in the preparation of the plan will be to identify the issues and problems associated with the park The park looks to the visiting public for information and informed judgement the' are essential in assembling the management plan. When the General Management Plan is complete, it will address these public observations and provide specific proposals for resolving current or potential issues and problems. Typical of the subjects to be considered will be the overcrowded and deteriorating roads, viewpoints and parking facilities Also to be examined w ill be concessions including overnight lodging facilities. Suggestions of problems or issues to be studied during the preparation of the General Management Plan should be sent to Superintendent Thomas Hobbs.
