Show BYU Fraternity Awards Student Special Award ESCALANTE A graduate student from Escalante has been honored by the Alpha Omega Chapter of the Delta Pi Epsilon fraternity at Brigham Young University Pauline Lott from Escalante was initiated into the fraternity along with Eugene Crismon and Al Switzler from Provo and Kathy Linder from Magna Delta Pi Epsilon is a national honorary professional graduate fraternity for students enrolled in graduate programs in business education at selected institutions throughout the countrv. In order to be eligible for membership, students Louise Barney must have completed a minimum of eight hours of graduate credit with at least a B average at a school that has a DPE chapter. The annual initiation and recognition banquet was held at LaFuente Restaurant in Orem, according to Dr. Max L Waters and in addition to the initiation ceremony, four special wards were given. K Barry Ellis, from the marketing department of Utah Technical College in Provo received a plaque honoring his service as president of the Alpha omega chapter of DPE during the 197R-1977 year Ted I) Stoddard professor of business education at BYU was given the fraternity's annual service and leadership award for outstanding service in business education. Glen L. Boyer and Gary R Smith faculty mem bers of the business education department at BYU were also honored as recipients of the research award for their extensive research project on economic education. |
