Show Swine Flu Vaccination Clinics Set For Region Final preparations are now underway for swine influenza immunization clinics to be I established In the Southwestern Health District, (Washington, Iron, Kane and Garfield counties), Dr. David Trafton, medical director of the district hslth department said that vaccine Is expected to be available sometime during October and 4 special swine influenza immunization clinics will be held shortly thereafter. Any person 18 year or older can be Immunized free at the special clinics, Persons allergic to chicken eggs, ill with fever or who have received another Immunization within the previous 14 days will either he referred to a private doctor or asked to return on another day for immunization ' Elderly persons and persons with a chronic illness involving the heart, lung or kidneys will be given a special vaccine that will protect not only against swine flu but also against Victoria Flu which was epidemic last year. Clinic schedules for each comminity will be published as soon as they are available. i |
