Show Hatch Happenings Reva Lowder 735-4201 Mr. and Mrs. Bob Evans took Klmberlee to dinner and a show In Cedar City Saturday evening In honor of her 9th birthday, July IS. On Monday several friends helped Klmberlee celebrate her birthday. Thursday, Bonnie Dalton and children and Hope Dalton visited the Gib darks in Kanab. Mrs. Clark and children came home with the Daltons to visit jntil Saturday. Then Gib Clark came and took them to Cedar City to visit relatives over the weekend. Last Tuesday evening Bruce Dalton accompanied a group from Panguitch to play baseball in Cedar City. Friday evening the Bruce Daltons visited in Cedar City. Wednesday, Carla Sawyer visited overnight In Cedar City with her sister, Emma Rae Humpherles who took her out to dinner'and a show for her birthday. Nicole took her parents, Carla and LaVall Sawyer to Kanab to a show in honor of their wedding anniversary. Mr. and Mrs. Allen Humpherles of Hurricane visited the LaVall Sawyers during the week and Pvt. Lee Ann Hayes, home on furlough, spent the night at the Sawyers and also visited at the Al Whtlhelms. Other visitors with LaVall Sawyers was Moroni Sanders, who also visited his sister, Maggie Barnhurst, Other guests at Maggie Barnshursts were the Melvin Barnhursts, Las Vegas, her grandsons, Kelvin and Junior Barnhurst and friend, after returning from their hike over to Cedar City and back. Shelly Smith, Panguitch is visiting her folks here for a while. The CHfis Quigley's took Kathy to Las Vegas, and put her on a plane for her home in California. Their son, Mark Quigley arrived at Cedar City by plane from California so they visited there a few days. The Scott Chamberlains, Cedar City visited Effel Riggs July 7. Their daughter, Jen-jtfjtr, stayed to visit a week. Friday, Janie, Bonnie and Sam Riggs took Effel to Gunnison to visit the Forest Hills and Jennifer to Nephi to visit friends, the Carl Jensens. Effel Riggs then joined them at the Ute Stampede and the Riggs children visited the Jay Mickelsens and attended the stampede then on Sunday accompanied them to church. The Hills took Effel Riggs to American Fork Canyon where they met their cousins, the Ray Beasleys, Texas and they all joined In the James B. Burrows family reunion. The Ray Burrows family and some friends, Sunnyvale, Ca. arrived here Saturday to visit Effel Riggs and the Lynn Evans. They will camp at Duck Creek so the family can come to town to visit while the men hike through Ground Canyon. The Deloy Evans, Las Vegas visited his folks a few days. Theora Heap took Paula Sawyer to Cedar City, Saturday, after she had visited the Heaps the past week. Arlln and Brad Frehner and a friend left Friday for Nephi for the Ute Stampede. Saturday, Wanday and Brett Frehner and Sam Aiken joined them, Michelle Stephenson visited In Nephi last week. Visiting the David Sawyers were the Kerry Sawyers, Las Vegas. Kerry brought Tracy and David Woodmancy from Las Vegas to Hatch, Saturday night, then Sunday afternoon the David Sawyers took them to their home in Antimony and enjoyed fishing with Valeen and Ken Roberts. Ann Farnsworth and daughters and Carla Cooper, Panguitch visited the Sawyers, Saturday. Also Deniece and Robert Miller visited them, Visiting the Harry Yorks were his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harry L. York, Des Moines, Iowa; the York's daughter, Lorreen and husband, Mike Lambert and children and Reah Munson, La Habra, Calif.; Ethel's aunt and uncle Church and Barbara Boggs, Parker, Ariz.; cousin, Laurie Taylor and friend, Reggls, Fullerton, Calif.; Sandy Carver and friend, Mel Jackson, Calif, and Mrs. Imogene Lambert, La Mlrada, Calif. Saturday evening they all joined with the Yorks at the wedding reception in the Hatch Cultural Hall for Deanna and Deor Perkins. Visiting Sunday at the Nile Sawyers were Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Savage and son, Rodney, Antimony. Darol Allred, Texas arrived here Saturday to join his family at the Oliver Huntingtons. Sunday visitors at the Huntingtons were Mr. and Mrs. Pat Dix and April Barabs, Panguitch; Mr. and Mrs. Vard Heaton, Alton; the Raymond Heatons, Florida; the Heatons also visited the Wiley Huntingtons, the Ed Tureks and other relatives. Casey Dix was an overnight guest at the Huntingtons, Abbie Fallis and Idonna Deuel accompanied the Francis Summons to Escalante and Boulder one day last week. Monday, Idonna took Rose Elaine to a doctor in Cedar City for treatment. Kay Little was taken suddenly ill Sunday morning. The ambulance from Panguitch came and took him to the Panguitch Hospital. Later he was transferred to the Veterans Hospital in Salt Lake City. Fay Alvey . Escalante and Val Little, Cedar City came to be with their mother, Mary Little. The Max Burrows, Fredonia, visited the Karl Lowders. Saturday the Lowders joined them at their property for a picnic |
