Show Energy Development To Theme Kanab Conference KANAB - A two-day development conference centered on energy development Is being planned for March 21 and 22 in Kanab, according to H. Bernell Lewis, president of the Greater Kane County Area Chamber of Commerce. The conference will be open to the public, he says, and attendance of over 800 is anticipated. "Kaiparowits Is a magic word in this area," said Mr. Lewis, "but it is hard to keep pace with the rapid progress of this and several other Important developments in our county, pis is why this conference Is being held." The theme of the conference is "Increased Individual Opportunity Through Better Understanding of our Future Challenges." Invitations have been sent to every company and every governmental agency who have an active part in these resource developments. Each will be encouraged to have knowledgable representatives at the conference with films, maps, documents, and graphic materials. Under one roof, in a relatively short time, one will be able to get a grasp of the whole situation and get answers to specific questions. The first session of the conference will begin at 7 p.m. on Friday evening, March 21 in the Kanab High School auditorium. Speakers from the companies and agencies will make presentations of the Important aspects of their programs. Merrill MacDonald, chairman of the Kane County Commission will act as moderator for this session. A question and answer period will follow the presentations. After the formal program exhibits will be open from 8:45 to 11 p.m. named by company and agency personnel. Conference attendees will be Invited to tour the exhibit area to gather specific Information. Registration fee for the conference is SO cents with student registration set at 25 cents.
