Only In Escalante, where two very popular local gentlemen were vying for the Republican nomination to the 2-year Oarfield County Commissioner pott, was the turnout near normal. Incumbent Dale Marsh won over E. D. Haws in that com-mMoner race by 517 to 3A8 Another race drawing County interest was that of Lloyd Frandcn who won the nepub-Mcan rominption for District 73 to the Ufa Rate House of Representatives. Frandsen. of Panguitch. won handily 1.494 - 1,021 over Cleal I. Bradford of Blandlng. The County gave Frandsen 749 votes to Bradford's 100. In other races the County went 488 Harmsen, 319 Belnap in Republican nomlnotlon for U.S. House of Representatives, 2nd District. On the Democratic side it was 29 Howe, 21 Mc Cart". For American Senatorial nomination it was Bangcrter ; 6. Larsen 1. On the judicial non-partisan ' slate it was Callister, 329; Fa-Irbaurn, 155. LeCates, 35; and Maughan, 159.
