Show NOTICE TO CONTRACTORS Sealed proposals will be received by the Garfield County Commission at the Garfield County Courthouse until 10 o'clock a.m. July 27, 1972, and at that time publicly opened for construction of a bituminous surface roadway In Garfield County, the same being that section of Collector Road Route No. 093 from Wldtsoe Junction and proceeding 7.6 miles north identified as Collector Road Project No. 093(2). The length of road to be constructed cr Improved is 7.6 miles, and the principal items of work are approximately as follows? Surface (17,084 tons of bituminous surfaco course, 1" maximum, 1025 tons of bituminous material). The project it to be completed in 31 working days. Prequallflcatlons of bidders is required. Prior to any bidder's receiving plans and spe- clflcatlons, it will be necessary that the bidder have on file with the State Road Commission of Utah completed and appoved, the required Prcqua-liflcation Statement pertaining to contractor's experience and financial condition. The attention of bidders is directed to Special Provisions covering subletting or assigning the contract. In conformity with, and by authority of Title 34 Chapter 30, Utah Code Annotated 1953. the general prevailing rates as determined by the Industrial Commission of Utah shall be effective and apply to this project and avi the minimum wages to be paid on this project. The attention of bidders Is directed to the fact tha contractors er.gaged in highway construction work are required to meet the provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (52 Stat. 1060). Garfield County, In accord ance with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252), hereby notifies all bidders that It will affirmatively Insure that the contract entered into pursuant to this advertisement will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder without discrimination on the grounds of race, color or national origin. Proposal forms, plans and specifications are on file in the office of the Garfield County Commission and the office of the Project Engineer at Rollins, Brown and Gunnell of Provo, Utah where they may be reviewed by prospective bidders. Proposal forms, and plans may be obtained only at Garfield County Commlulon Office upon application. The State of Utah "Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction." 1970 Edltioa, shall apply to this project and may be obtained at any office cf the State Highway Depart- ment. Each bidder must submit a bid bond from an approved surety company on forms provided by the local agency; or in lieu thereof, cash, certified check or cashier's check for not less than five percent of the total amount of the bid, made payable to Garfield County Commission, as evidence of good faith and a guarantee that if awarded the contract, the bidder will execute the contract and furnish the contract bonds as required. The right to reject any or all Mds Is reserved. An inspection trip of the proposed project Is scheduled for 1:00 p.m., 25th of July 1972.
