Show TROPIC ATHLETE SIHNES ON GRIDIRON AT SUSC Lanny Littlefield, son of Mr. and Mrs. Norman Littlefield, of Tropic, has closed out his college football career as an offensive tackle for the Southern Utah State College Thunder-birds. Lanny's fine play helped the T-Blrds win their final conference game against Ft. Lewis of Durango, Colorado, 30-6. The SUSC team has been rated the top offensive-team in the conference, and efghth in the nation in NAIA pass offense. They came out with a season conference record of 3-3. Lanny has been senior captain of the team and has shown consistant strength in his posl-ion. At Dixie Junior College he was co-captaln of his team. He played defense in the tackle position for UNLV prior to transferring to SUSC. He is a, physical education major and has been asked to assist with the T-Blrd baseball team next spring. He is a Senior Committee member and an Honor Roll student He plans to make coaching his career. A formers-resident of Henderson, Nevada, Lanny was program director for the Henderson Boys 'Club. His wife, Gloria, is aiso from Henderson. The littlefield? are the parents of three sons, Darryl 6. Guy 3. and Scott, one-year-old. |
