Show HATCH BY REV A LOWDER Hatch celebrated Homecoming July 24th with a parade, program, children's and horse races, and a mutton fry. Speakers In Sacrament meeting were JoAnn Ipson, Layton Barney, and Elder Craig Barney gave his mission report. Special songs by Florlcne, Joyce and Doris Barney; Merrill and Daryl Chlpman. Many out of town people attended, bringing our attendnce to 196. The Don L. Ipsons of Provo and Elizabeth Barton of Tropic visited the Layton Barneys. Visiting the Frank Barneys last week were the Ferrll Barneys of Las Vegas, the Gordon Barneys of Tooele, the Vern Barneys of Richfield, Roma Barney, two daughters and a granddaughter of Ogden. Bill and Debbie Duckett went to Las Vegas and brought Debra and Cindy Duckett of Calif, to visit here awhile. Visiting the Oliver Hunting-tons, and the Sam Evans one day last week were Elgen Sawyer of Salt Lake and Mark Sawyer of Elberta. Other visitors at the Evans were the Merwln Fairbanks of Salt Lake, the A-vard Gif fords of Calif., the Gary Evans of Las Vegas, Pete Al-vey of Panguitch. Also visiting the Huntingtons were Mr. and Mrs. Fred Houston and son of Logan who also visited her folks, the Darol Allrcds who returned to Lubbock, Texas on Monday; the Garn Hunting-tons of St. George who stayed for several days, the Pat Dix family of Panguitch, the John Beaurs of St. George. Visiting at the Gale Wilson several days were the David Evans of Orem, Don Pope and a friend of Fallon, Nevada, Roy Robertson of Alton. Gal and Ralph Wilcock, Tanya and Carrie Christian, Malissa, Cas-sie and Virginia Mack visited in Cedar Tuesday. Mrs. J. E. Riggs had all her children and families, but Lela here last week. She and the Ivor Riggs accompanied the Wallace Heaps of Cedar, the Dan Chipmans of Canada, the Oscar Larsens of Roy, Viva Mecham of Tropic to the Uinta Mts. for a family reunion. Michael Evans is here on furlough visiting his parents, the Bob Evans. Mrs. May Swapp, Terry, Bobbie and Jane Madsen, Clark, Duke, Jeff, Bill, Boyd and Fay Evans of Salt Lake, Bonnie and Kenneth Bailey of Milford. the Gib Clarks of Kanab were at the Grant Daltons. Ada Barnhurst, the Leslie and the Bobby Barnhursts of Salt Lake, are visiting in town. Visiting, the Calvin Wilsons andjthe. Garth Heaps were the Don, Heaps of. Escalante, the LeGrand Woods, Vere and Jeff Barnhurst, Ann Rives and children, Beth and Steven Weld-man, the Richard Weidmans, Connie Workman and daughter' of Las. Vegas, the Ronald Sawyer family of Cedar, Laura Pendleton of St. George. A Samuel Barnhurst reunion was held July 25 at the Social Hall. A T. H. Sawyer family reunion was held July 24 and 25 at the Dunk Findlay Ranch south of Hatch. Attending from here were the David Sawyers, Nile Sawyer, Georgia Gunn and Rodney. Also the A.D. Find-layi of Calif., the David Frosts and Dunk Findlays of Kanab, the Floyd Sawyers of Roy, the Richard Elmers of Ogden, the Ronald Sawyers of Cedar, the Roy Shakespears of Tropic, the Darwin Shakespears of Panguitch, the Leon Wooleys, Clara Wooley of Orem, Val-eene Woodmancy and children of Garden City, Michigan. Visiting the Jesse Wilsons are the Russell Wilsons of Sa-Una, the Lloyd Wilsons of Calif., the Ferrill Lazenbys of Oklahoma, the Richard Wilsons of Green River, Virginia Wilson of Salt Lake, the Mel Wilk es of Idaho, the Wayne Wilsons, Wayne has spent a year in Vietnam. Visiting the Karl Lowders are Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Lowder and Shane of Gold Hill, Ore. Sunday visitors were the Bert Felsteads of Parowan, Verda Slack of Cedar. The Ron Riggs spent several days with them The Mark Fallis' of Salt Lake, the Jim Burgins of Murray and Arvil Fallis of Fallon, Nevada visited Abble Fallis. The Ray Burrows family of Sunnyvale, Calif, are visiting her folks, the Lynn Evans and his father James Burrows. Also visiting the Evans were De-loy Evans and Kelley Barnhurst of Las Vegas, Jolene Farns-worth of Cedar. The Hayden Barnhursts, the Mern and the Zalr Bowers of Salt Lake, the Dean Barnhursts of Las Vegas are visiting the Eric Barnhursts. The Vay Sawyers of Kanab visited here over the weekend. Visiting during the weekend with James Burrows were the Phil and the Billie Burrows of Panguitch, the Max Burrows of Fredonia, the Cal Burrows of Kanab. |
