Alfred Chiono reported that Bonnie was feeling better and wanted to come home, she is having therapy. Mrs. Crandall is still In the Pangultch hospital about the same. Effie Spencer went to Roosevelt to take care of grandkids. her daughter Effie Kae was injured in a car wreck. Sox Spencer and Bernard and Ora Schow went to Salt Lake for a load of building material. Janeen Alvey spent several days in Salt Lake City. Gene and Thais Griffin and girls had business there. Mable Griffin, Denise and Ray-lene Alvey visited in Richfield. The Whltey Porters had Marvin, Gloria and family from Mesa, Arizona, the kids were here earlier. The Donald Griffins had Lane and Marliee and family from Provo. Stanley Stowe brought Marlene and son to stay here while he went to Sallna on a job. Klynn and Marlene Haws and girls went to Prescott, Arizona, to see son Terrill and Dee and Elda Haws. Carl and Vera Moss sold their home and moved to Ord-erville. LaRue Spencer went to Cedar City to bring Linda and son home for visit. Rex and Eva Allen of Rlverton spent several days here at their home. Jim Gates went to Salt Lake City for tests to find out what alls him. Pole and Judy Griffin went to Wyoming to visit Judy's folks. Dorthy Wa-yne is home for a visit and to go back to her doctor. Koleen Wayne went to Richfield. John and Yukon Norman went to Boise, Idaho, to see their horse run. Dianne Alvey went to ride. She rode eight races In Pangultch and won three of them. Mel and Judy Brooks went to Colorado, Melba and Arlis Brooks made it home in time to attend the races at Panguitch. Marion Shurtz and her intended, Gary Mills from Montana were at the Chase Shurtz home, he is going to summer school in Texas then will resume studies at the University of Utah to get his PHD. Daniel and Orilla Cowles went to Salt Lake for the wedding of a grandson. Clyde and Llllie Spencer are home from Delta where they attended the wedding reception of Debra Taylor who exchanged temple vows with Paul Barney. McRay and LaFaye Bailey and family went. Natalie was one of the bridesmaids who were all dressed in yellow. J. C. Spencer and part of his family were here from Mapleton. J.C.'s son Galen and his bride the former Debra Evans visited Clyde and Lillie here enroute to St. George where they have employment. Gary Fontaine took nephew Sven Kelllng and his dog back home to Provo. Thel-ma Cottam was home from Cedar City for the weekend. Don Coleman was home from Wayne County he has a melon patch at Hanksvllle. Alice Ann Lyman and sons are here from Las Vegas for the summer, Monte Heaps was here from California trying to find old friends and landmarks. He left here in '29 so there have been considerable changes, he could hardly find Herd Corral Hill. Earl and Nethella Woolsey went to Strawberry Reservoir to .meet Hal and Lasca Woolsey for visiting and fishing, their pleasure was cut short when Lasca becoming ill. Hal took her to the hospital in Salt Lake City where she had a major operation and is doing ok. Luclnda and Irene Al-vey joined other girls from Southern Utah for a trip North for a three day workshop in Logan and Salt Lake City for a 4-H Home Improvement Program. Luclnda came homo with the group. Irene stayed to Join her folks, Betty Johnny, Frank, Tony, Linda Stokes and Wallace Roundy for a trip to Rex-burg, Idaho, for a family reunion of the Roundy family at the homo of Jerry. Edna Smith and family came from Seattle, Washington, Wavle Slple and family from Idaho Falls. Glado and family from Salt Lake City, Floyd and family from Mlndcn. Vivian was fromMindcn, Mm.-YEOaa horn and Helen went to Las Vegas to visit David's in-laws who put on a Spanish fiesta for their enjoyment. David went . back to Michigan leaving Yu-londe and the girls to visit a-while. Helen kept her Wilson grandson a week while Susan went to Cedar City for some schooling, they all attended some of the Shakespeare plays. Bessie Griffin got the papers showing that her son Staff Sergeant Alvin L. Griffin had received an Army Commendation Medal showing that ho had distinguished himself by meritorious service from 29 July through 15 July 73 while serving in successive positions with the 56th Military Police Company and the Provost Marshal's office.
