Show Membership In PTA Urged For All Parents Guiding children as they grow up In a modern America is a responsibility shared by parents and teachers. Are we building In the children of our community the skills and the character they need to cope with the bewildering pace of change? The Panguitch-Hatch PTA, under the leadership of Mrs. Julie Rathbun, Rings the Bell for all parents and teachers to help make PTA an organization that serves and accomplishes Serving with Mrs Rathbun is Mrs Gail Duckett, vice president; Mrs. Evalyn Roe, secretary-treasurer; committee chairmen, Vanola Man-gum, membership ; Francle Rollins, health; Karen Furnish, magazine; Sally Payne, program and publicity: Otho Bulkley, safety and Juvenile protection ; Ray Englestead and Harold Lindsay, recreation. The program for the year schedules two general meetings (one fall, one spring) with various committee work going on throughout the year by parents and teachers Interested In specific topics, and activities Our first general meeting will be held November 13, In conjunction with American Education Week In the schools. The P T A Health Committee and the Public Health Department will cooperate with Doctor Kazan to bring a Well Baby Clinic to our community the latter part of October and each month throughout the year. The P.T.A. will sponsor a Halloween Carnival for the Elementary School children on the afternoon of October 31. This will give the children an opportunity to wear their costumes and enjoy an afternoon of fun. October 1 a membership month, and we extend a cord- lal and urgent Invitation for both mother and father to support the child and join the P T. A. Share with teachers and administrators the responsibility to see thst our children are receiving the best there Is available. As our membership grows so grows our power to make Panguitch a good growing place for our children |
