Show Henrieville News Items ME LB A D. SMITH Missed last week that Shan-na Goulding and Lael Chyno-weth and families went to Cannonville for their nephew Jack Nelson's missionary farewell. Rob and Sally Goulding of Cedar City were there and Rob sang in the program. Rob and Sally spent last weekend at the Nephl Goulding home. Ward conference was held here Sunday with the Stake Presidency Chase Shurtz, Mai en Mecham and Dale Marsh; Janet LeFevre r presenting the Primary, Donna Bailey the YWM1A, Nelda Munson the Relief Society and Thorley Johnson the Sunday School. Laura Clark was released as 1st counselor in the ward YW-MIA and Melba D Smith was sustained as 1st counselor, Paula Shafer secretary, Cecil Willis 2nd counselor in the YMMIA and James W Smith as secretary. Rett, Kenny and Stephanie Shakespear o f Washington spent Saturday and Sunday with the Layton Smith and E R. Shakespear families while Christine went to Salt Lake City with Arvonne Shakespear. Darreid Nellaon moved Frank Moore home last Monday from over on the Sevier River where he has worked during the summer Brenda, Collette. Collin and Gavlen Rose spent the weekend home from college at Ce dar City at the Dave Rose home. Lovisa Johnson received word that her daughter Nina and Guy Robinson's home in Hanksville burned down that they had just bought, so they had to go back to living in a trailer. Mada Partner is home from staying with daughter Cora and Keith Johnson at Spring ville while Herschel was in the Utah Valley Hospital. He is now at Central Utah Extrn ded Care Center, 1775 So. Da kota Lane, Provo, where he can have therapy Also received word that Harry Partner is improving at 'he Veterans Hospital at Salt Lake City. We wish him a speedy recovery so he can come back home. Those celebrating birthdays this week are Loren W.llis and Frankie Moore, last week it was Royce Griffin Eugene and LaKay Quilter and two children pent Saturday in Cedar City. Thev had quite a dav finding snow on Cedar Mountain where there was a wreck In the mornlne. so came back in the afternoon by way of Beai Valley and found quite a snow storm, and there was another wreck, so they felt they had rather a bf d dav of storm 'inursday Viola Rose went to ( continued on back page) HENRIFVILLP (continued from front page) Hatch and picked Ada Burrows up, then spent the day at the Cat Burrows home after receiving word of the accidental death of 3 year old Tra-eey Burrows. On Saturday, Viola, Joanne, Janis and Peggy Rose attended funeral services in Kanab. Larry Rose spent the weekend home from col lege. Allene Riddle took several girls from here to Escalante on Saturday for Stake Laurel Day Dale and Linda Larsen and son left last week for Salt Lake City. Some people from here went to Panguitch Monday for the Blood mobile. |
