Show Tropic Topics BY ELLA ADAIR Dean Shakespear and hla fiancee Robyn Hansen spent the weekend at the Vernal Shake-spears. Most all of the college students from Dixie, SCSU and Logan were home for the week end for their quarter break. Hope and Charley Wintch were the speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday. Dennis Wintch and Cray Pollock sang a duet. Elise Ott is in Salt Lake with her father, who is in the hospital, having undergone surgery. Ward Mangum visited his mother Luella one day this week while on his way to St. George where he is employed. Having birthdays this week are Afton and Joe Pollock, Mae Chynoweth, Steven Mecham, and Holla Alvey. Afton Pollock Is attending an administrators conference in Salt Lake City this week. Mrs. Ella Adair accompanied Gary Bybee, Colleen Shakespear, Katherine Sudweeks, Louise Partner, Wayne Reynolds and Darnell Dutton to the speech meet in Gunnison on Tuesday. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Ott were recent visitors at the Wallace Ott home. Mr. and Mrs. Jerry LeFevre have been visiting the Ellis Le-Fevres, Jerry will attend college in Cedar City. Ethel Hatch made a trip to Cedar City with her daughters for her birthday. Her son Vernon and wife of Richfield came to visit with her. The Owen Shakespeare and Cora Shakespear attended funeral services in Pay son The Ira Uttlefields recently visited in Salt Lake City. Scott and Max in e Munson visited the James Munsons this week. Phyllis Stewart and family had a visit from her parents and family this week. The Carl Syretts received word of the death of Milton (Red) Cameron of a heart attack on March 4. His funeral was held in San Diego. He was well known in this area as he spent his summer vacation at Ruby's Inn. Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Adair spent the weekend at the Royal Alvey home. Deanna Dixon is visiting her parents, the Jack Chynoweths. Kirk Chynoweth was home for the weekend. Glenna Pollock and Ronnie Brinkerhoff are home from the hospital. Next Sunday will be the regular fast day services; a special Easter program will be held at Sunday School. Bap-tisimal services will be held Saturday night. Emily Pollock Is home after visiting her sisters in northern Utah. Ann Griffin and Kay are in Calif., Ann Is visiting her daughter Donna and famly. Jack and Gaya Grenhaugh and son visited Am pi us LeFevre last week. Word was received of the death of the former Genlce Riding of Calif. Among the visitors in town this week were the LaVar Munsons ; Rett and Christine Shakespear and children at the E. R. Shakespeare; David and Katherine Pollock and Maurene Pollock and flar.ee at the Larvin Pollocks; the Sher rill Iambs and aaughttr at the I osier Clarices, the DeVar Pol-luck family and Judy Smith also spent the weekend with them. |
