Show COUNTY AGENT8 NOTES A new 4-H Leadership Program is being initiated in Garfield County. This is a program in boys and girls ages 16 to 19 will be leading 4-H clubs They will have an adult adviser whom they will use to advise them on special problems. Teen leaders along with their advisers will meet Mon day, March 16, at 6 p.m. at the Multi-purpose room of the High School In Panguitch. Teen leaders and advisers from the Eastern parte of Garfield County and Kane County will also attend The meeting Monday night will be the first of 4 orientation sessions at which teen leaders and advisers will learn what 4-H is and the role they will be playing as teen leaders. Interesting topics will be discussed, such as understanding the younger boy and girl, how the adviser can help, and new projects available In 4-H this year. This is the first time such a program has been conducted in Utah and we are quite excited about it. About 40 boys and girls throughout the county have signed up to participate in the program. |
