PTA meeting was held on Thursday night. A heart-shaped cake, for the PTA's 66thV anniversary, was the dooi prize won by Gale Wilcock., A film ''Abolish PTA" was' shown. Mrs. Erna Rlggs presided. A large crowd from Panguitch and Hatch were served refreshments by the 5th and 6th grada girls. DUP meeting was held at the home of Omega Campbell Thursday morning, Captain Beryl Sawyer presided. Mrs. Campbell gave the lesson and a story about her grandfather James B. Burrows. Luncheon was served to a group of ladies. A surprise birthday party was held Saturday night in the ward hall for Hope and Grant Dalton. A large crowd enjoyed games, dancing and refreshments. MIA officers and teachers attended a leadership meeting and party at Circlevillc. Kay and Lela Brown and son came from Calif. Saturday to visit her folks the J.E. Riggs, he returned to Calif, and Lela and son stayed for a week's visit. Tha Wallace Heap family of Cedar City were Sunday visitors. Hope- and Shannon .Dalton, Idonna and Val Dean Deuel visited in Alton Wednesday. The Karl Lowder family visited Sunday at Kanab with J Hie Vay Sawyers. jj Mrs. David Sawyer took the T T. H. Sawyers and Kent Sawyer to visit at Roy and Salt Lake for a few days last week. Visiting the Sawyers Sunday were the Roy Shakespcars of Tropic and Steve Goulding of Henricville. Mrs. Arthur Sawyer left Saturday for Calif, to visit the Devon Roundys awhile. Mrs. Gam Blackburn and children visited with the Os-myn Dcucls on Thursday. The Orlas Rlggs' of Kanab spent the weekend here, little Vaelyn Sawyer accompanied them here to spsnd a week with grandparents, the Arnold Sawyers. Mrs. Garth Heap went to St. George Sunday to visit this week wit hher parents, the M. H. Barnhursts. Mrs. Sarah Porter visited at Orderville Saturday. Jean, Lowell and Stanley Huntington went to Orderville Saturday to help the Allen Huntingtons move into a home of their own. The Earl Sawyers were recent visitors at Lyman with the Oscar Tayor family. The Evans Buckaroos orchestra played for the Gold and Green dancs at Junction Saturday. The Cloyd Campbells spent the weekend In St. George. Myrtle Woodard was confined to the hospital a few days last week. Mrs. Delin Crofts and sons of Panguitch and Mrs. Sessie Clark of Orderville visited at the Lynn Evans home. |
