Show Local - Society AN INVITATION An invitation is extended to everyone to attend an open house on Dec. Oth, from 8 to 10 p.m. at the LDS Seminary in honor of Fred G. and Rita Riggs. The couplo will be married in the St. George Temple. Tho bride-to-be is a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Hancock of Jacksonville, Florida. Mr. Riggs is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay A. Riggs of Panguitch. COLEMAN VEATER Traveling to and meeting in Las Vegas, Nevada for the wedding of Ruth Coleman and Roy Veater on Dec. 3rd were: Wayne and Lora Veater from Sandy, Royce and Pearl Walker, Gordon and Annette Beck-strom, Mrs. Tony Prince, Mrs. Dortha Reid, all of San Diego. VaNola Mangum, sister of the bride, accompanied the to-be-wed couple to Las Vegas. Mrs. Tanya Mangum Lomprey (formerly of Panguitch) met her mother there. J. D. Cook and wife Bertie (brother of the bride) drove in from Lakewood, Calif. All met at their brother Max and wife Carol's home. . The ceremonyl was performed in the 19th Ward LDS Church by Bishop Clayton Farnsworth. a A reception was held immediately afterward at the I home of Max and Carol Cook, i HURST HUGHES Mrs. Wm M. Hurst and Vermon and Catherine Barney and family attended the wedding and reception of Kathleen Hurst and Dean Thomas Hughes on November 23rd in Ogden. Kathleen Is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wm D. Hurst. The couple was married In the Salt Lake LDS Temple and the reception was held In Ogden in the Ogden White I House Reception Center. I Christensen Osmanson Sgt. and Mrs. Rolin J. Christ-tensen of Butte,- Montana announce the marriage of their daughter, Rolena, to Robert Osmanson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin T. Osmanson, also of Butte. The young couple was married on November 14th, and making a home In Butte where both are attending college. The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy Schow of Panguitch and Mrs. Bell C. Roundy, formerly of Escalante. ENGAGED Mr. and Mrs. Truman Lyman of Boulder announce the engagement of their daughter, Sandra Mae, to Afton Leiben-guth, son of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Leibenguth of Escalante. The couple plans to marry early in the spring. |
