Show Clean-Up Time Has Come It's Clean-Up, Fix-Up, Paint-T;t Up time again that time of year when the frost leaves the ground, sap and ambition both begin to rise and working out of doors becomes a pleasure. Our Civic clubs are out to make Panguitch one of the best looking communities in the state. Pitch in and help. Everyone has some project about his home lot that can be completed to dress up his block and make the street he lives on a better place to live. Anyone needing help can contact the community betterment committee headed by Mrs. Isabel Ipson. The Committee can arrange for a truck to haul garbage, or arrange for teen-age helpers to get the job done. The Jaycecs with their garbage collection program will help you dispose of the debris as you clean. The County assessor's office and the City Building Inspector further the program by assuring the townspeople that taxes don't go up if you keep a neat yard or tear down a ramshakle old barn, In fact, your taxes might go down. Are you sure that dilapidated old shed on the back lot isn't on the tax rolls as an 'improvement'? The city building inspector assures us that no one needs a permit to tear out an old shed or rip down an old fence. |
