Show U.S. FOREST SERVICE NEWS Was It Cold Enough For You? - Fourteen Below Is Cold Enough For Most Of Us Winter lias really been with us this past week. Minus 14 degree was the low temperature occurring on Wednesday, 16th, with the high temperature of 33 degrees being recorded the same day. This was also the low up to date for the year. Bryce Canyon Airport recorded minus 20 degrees on the 16th. Precipitation recorded for the period of Feb. 11 to 17 showed .06 of an inch of moisture bringing the total for the month to .22 of an inch. Traces of snow occurred on five consecutive days during the past week. Twenty Forest officers from Teasdale, Circleville and Panguitch completed Standard and Advanced First Aid courses uurlng the past week. The classes were held at the Country Corner Cafe dining room. The Forest Service wishes to thank Mr. Foy for providing this faculty. Powell District Ranger Bruce B. Hronek was a guest speaker at the Panguitch Wildlife Federation meeting on Feb. 16. He spoke on the Paunsaugunt Deer Herd Unit and presented wildlife films. |
