Bartlett, operator of the Pink Cliffs motel near Bryce Canyon, took off this past,,Wednesday. about J;05Jn the afternoon to check out a reported sighting of an aircraft fuselage southwest of Panguitch and northwest of Hatch. The men walked to Bob Henderson's Bryce Service station for aid. Neither of the trio, or a pilot of a second airplane from Cedar City saw any sign of the reported downed plane. No plane had been reported missing to Flight Service Station or other FAA offices Wednesday. The previous day a plane flew over Panguitch about 10 or thereabouts in the morning and it sounded as if It might be having motor trouble. |
