Show Local & Society FORTHCOMING MARRIAGE Miss Irene Lindstrom Mr. and Mrs. Carl Lindstrom of Santaquin are announcing the forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Irene, to Clifford C. Losee. Mr. and Mrs. Verl Losee of Payson are parents of the future bridegroom, who is employed by the American Telegraph & Telephone Company. The betrothed pair will wed Feb. 27th in the Manti LDS Temple. They will greet guests at a reception that evening In the Santaquin Stake Center. The couple will make their home in Delta. Miss Lindstrom is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Talbot of Pangultch. LADY LIONS MEET The Lady Lions met Monday night, Feb. 8th, at the Flying M Cafe. Decorations were the Valentine theme, red roses and cupids. A report was given by Hilda Gardner on the Variety Show. The program consisted of baton twirling by Marilyn Marshall; musical number by Bar-bra Roe and Shelly Griffin. Hostesses were Nedra Tebbs and Faye Worthen. There were 20 members and 5 guests present.. TO WED Miss Gall Ott Mr. and Mrs. Ursel J. Ott of Tropic announce the engagement and forthcoming marriage of their daughter, Gail, to Larry Gordon Clow-ard, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gordon L- Cloward, of Spanish Fork. The wedding will take place Feb. 27 in the Tropic Ward Chapel with Bishop Clive Bybee officiating. Mrs. Beth Park, sister of the bride, will be matron of honor, with Mrs. Laura Cottam, Miss Judy Twitchell, and Miss Suzanne Wintch as attendants. Lori Park will be the flower girl. Gail graduated from Bryce Valley High School, then attended Utah Trade Technical Institute of Provo. Mr. Cloward is a graduate of Spanish Fork High School. He attended Snow College and is now in the building construction business. After their honeymoon the ncwlyweds plan to make their home in Spanish Fork. A birthday party was held at the Verd Worthen home on Feb. 10th in honor of Faye's mother, Alice Smith, for her 75th birthday. Attending were Estella Riggs of Hatch, Grover and Ida Smith of Circleville. Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Tebbs are visiting in the Los Angeles area. A. L. Elmer made a long weekend trip to Rancho Cardo-va, Calif, to attend the christening of twin grandchildren, children of Jerald and Margaret Elmer. Mrs. Dempster Da-vies returned home with Mr. Elmer after spending several weeks in Calif. Mrs. Mary Pompelli is here visiting with her sister Mrs. Margaret Haycock. Liza Moore, Mabel Norton, and Ralph Veater are in the hospital for medical care. Mrs. Billy J. Dodds is a patient after tho birth of a stillborn baby girl. Gary and Colleen Orton are parents of a baby boy born Feb. 10th, there are a brother and two sisters and grandparents, the Dewey Moores, to help welcome the new baby. Mrs. Mary Henrie gave a birthday dinner on Feb. 3rd In honor of her mother, Mrs. Amy Sevy, for her 85th birthday. Guests included Elizabeth Orton, Mollie Reid, Sarah Ip-son, Alva Johnson, Ida Chid-ester, Ruth Davis, and Eva Tebbs. |
