The Grant Daltons have a new grandson born Feb. 2nd to Mr. and Mrs. Robert Phillips; Bob is working in Calif. Mr. and Mrs. Leland, Riggs arc parents of a baby boy born Feb. 1st; grandparents are the Ben Copes of Tropic and Ef fel Riggs. The Better Homes. Club members had a dinner and program at the Pines Cafe last week, 42 members and partners were present. WaUace Ott attended a BUI meeting in Kanab last week. Miss Margene Stapleman of BYU is doing student teaching at BVHS In the Home Ec. dept.; while here she Is stay-inng with the Wallace Otts. Ella Adair and Margene Stapleman attended a meeting at CSU Saturday sponsored by the college's Homemaklng department. . Lucien Haas and friend spent thekweekend here with the Thomas Richards. - LaVon Jolley, John Allen and Darlene Pollock were home for the weekend from Salt Lake. Malen Mecham was In Cedar City this past weekend on business. Evelyn Jolley, Kevin Shake-spear and Gary Don Mecham had birthdays last week. The Wallace Otts were in St. George Friday. Their daughter was a candidate for "Miss Battery B" of the National Guard. Sandra and two of her friends returned here with them for the weekend. The Clyde R. Bybee family spent the weekend in Tropic. . The membership of Irene Johnson was received In the Ward this past week. Mr. and Mrs. Manuel .Chavez were weekend guests of the John Mechams. Florence Shakespear and Mondell Syrett were home for the weekend. Miss Maria Crosby of. Kanab was here for Gary Don's farewell. The Kenneth Adalrs were weekend visitors at the Royal Alvey home. Their small daughter Teri was named In Sacrament meeting Sunday. The Ira Littlefields spent the weekend in Layton with the Malen Llttlefield family. Ferrell Hatch was a business visitor here over the weekend. Joe Ott is working as assistant Matrade' at Bright Angel Lodge in Arizona; he is taking a business management course Jane Sudweeks had her brother and wife of Antimony as visitors last week. |
