Show I CANNONVUXE - BY MAE TWITCHELL I spent a week in Spring-villo with my Sis and alter 1 came home I couldn't settle down enough to even get any news In last week so will try to catch up, hopo I didn't slight anyone. Mrs. Beverly Davis is here spending two weeks with her parents, the Hobart Feltners. Maureen Davies was here for a few days with her parents, the Byron Daves. Mike Davies is homo from Glen City for a few days. The Lamond Davis family and the Larry Davis family spent the weekend with the Sherman Davis'. Marion Clark Jr., son of El' va and Marion Clark Sr., has been ill and confined to the hospital at Carson, Nevada. Ho is to be released some time this week but will have to go back In six months for a major operation. Myrtle Baldwin made a trip to Salt Lake during tho week; Garda made a trip to the City to take Maureen where she is employed. June Nelson was in Salt Lake recently on business. Alta Henderson is at Salt Lake for a few weeks visiting the Boyd and Donald Henderson families. Otha and Iris Henderson are home after a month's visit in Colorado with her parents, her sister came homo with them. A stork shower was held Saturday for Beverly Davis. Tho Boy Scouts banquet held Thursday was a big success, we served 00 members of our ward. George Thompson took a load of Scouts to Cedar Saturday for new suits. We joined in with the Hen-Tievillc and Tropic wards Saturday night at Tropic for tho Gold and Green Ball. Bro. and Sister WHford Clark were honored as tho oldest Married Couple and Sweethearts from pur ward. Tho program in Sunday Sacrament meeting was given by the Seminary students of Bryce Valley High under the direction of Mr. Reed Merrel. Youth Fireside was held at the home of Christine Twitch-ell. Craig Tvvitchell celebrated his 13th birthday on the 19th. I would like to take the opportunity to thank the marching girls or drill teams of all the schools In our district for the efforts they have put forth to bring to the people attending the ball games the different drills at each game. It has been a great thrill to mo to watch these different drills, s0 many thanks and hats off to the girls of tho drill teams of the schools In Garfield District. |
