Show TROPIC TOPICS KLLA ADAIR A son was born Aug. 5th to the Rex Palmers, and a daughter was born Aug. 6th to the Mateland Baughs. Mrs. Norma Dallcy came from Ontario, Calif, and accompanied her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. E. Richards to Idaho Falls to attend a Golden Wedding reception of the Richard Cooks, former residents of Tropic. They also visited their children, the Dick Shumway family in Wash, and attended the World's Fair in Seattle. The Ward Primary Officers and Teachers attended a Primary convention at Escal-ante on July 30th. Mr. and Mrs. John Mech-am and son Gary Don visited in Richfield last week; they also visited In Kanab during the week with the Clyde R. Bybees, their grandsons Da- vid and Randy returned to Tropic with them for a visit. Mrs. Neverman of Las Vegas was a recent visitor at the Mecham home. The Charles and the Dean Wintch families attended a Wintch reunion at Manti. The Harold Aliens of Antimony visited Sunday with Jane Sudweeks and the Ellis Allen family. Mrs. Helen Beatty and children of Toquerville are visiting her parents, the Ira Llttleflelds while her husband is working near Hatch. Sonla Shakespear is visiting in Salt Lake with Mrs. Afton Branch. Mrs. Gladys Q. Johnson of Hanksvillc spent a few days last week with Mrs. Thelma Bybee. The G rover T. B roughs of Calif, attended Sacrament meeting here Sunday, he was a former teacher in Tropic High School. Mr. and Mrs. Ben Cope Jr. and Ronald Blair of Vernal and the Pratt Miles of St. George visited at the Ben Copes during the week. Mrs. Elise Ott and daugh- ter arc homo after visiting at Lehi for several weeks. Mr. and Mrs. Kent Wintch and family of Estes Nat'l Park, Colo, are here on vacation. Mrs. Esther Adair had six of her children and their families attending the Adair reunion at Pine Lake Sunday: the Ray Adalrs; the Gerald Adalrs of Burlingame, Kansas; the Ray Littlefields of Orem; the Max Hodsonsof New Mexico; the Dean Little-fields of Sandy; the Carl Vauderlaus of Preston, Idaho; the Arnold Adalrs of Tropic; the Gall Miles of Cedar City; the Evan Millers of Copperton; 20 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Ferrell Brinkerhoff was ordained a Priest Sunday inJ church. 1 Genevieve LeFevro is vis-n itlng in Oak City. Eva Pollock had her brother and family, mother and sister as visitors last week. |
