Show THE WORD FROM BOULDER BY ALICE ALVEY Seems as though about everyone in Boulder has the urge to go vacationing now hut if they're like me they'll be glad to get back home. This hot weather doesn't go too well with traveling as far as I'm concerned. The Gry Denning family left for Montana where they will altcnd a family reunion, then go on to Washington to visit his relatives and on down to Calif, to visit her parents. Margie Griffin, LaRae Roun-dy and kids spent a few days in Page and Kanab visiting sisters Jerry Shurtz and Anne Reynolds. Max Behunin spent a day In Kanab on business, while Mr. and Mrs. Leland Haws and the Heber Poulsons went to Richfield on business. Burns Ormond and family attended an Ormond family reunion in Fillmore over tho weekend. Durns stopped in Panguitch to receive medical attention for a bad knee, Mr. and Mrs. Clyde King attended horso races In Denver, Colo. They spent a few days at Fish Lake where they met her parents and celebrated both her and her mother's birthdays. Mrs. Carter Ormond made two trips to Panguitch with daughter Linda for dental care. Mrs. Mary Moosman is spending some time In Escal-anto at the home of her daughter Mrs. Twila Mclnelly. Eph Coombs is home from tho hospital recovering from his operation. Mr. and Mrs. Parley Coleman received word of the marriage of their daughter Cloo Burke to Jim Walker on July 17 in Colo. Springs. A hugo load of pipe came in yesterday for Richard Griffin's new sprinkling system. Ho has the trench dug to lay the pipe In and evidently did not run Into mud the construe tion people have been up on tho Mt, where they're laying water pipe from West Fork of Boulder Creek. Mr. and Mrs. Lorln Moosman had son Ray L. and family from Provo home for a short visit. Tom Reynolds of Kanab spent the weekend here fishing, he stayed at the homo of in-laws the Clyde Kings. Dorthy and Ivan Lyman had baby daughter named Alice Naomi In Sacrament meeting on Aug. 6th. Cleo Reed Lyman was graduated from (continued inside) BOULDER Primary and confirmed a deacon the same day. Doesn't seem possible that Its been 13 years since him and my Dar-rcll were named. Peggy Orm-ond was baptized In Escalahte and confirmed here by Larry Coombs. High councilmen Willis, Twitchell and Shake-spear of Escalante, Cannon-ville and Tropic respectively were speakers in Sacrament meeting Sunday. |
