Show 1 HATCH Reva Lowdcr Donald Hall is home after spending several months at school. Mr. and Mrs. Lynn Evans and Deloy and the Cloyd Campbells and Delten left for Oregon Wednesday on business. Visiting at the O. B. Huntington home last Wednesday were Mr. and Mrs. Clifton Beardall of Provo. Mary Ann Goulding of Pangultch visited Saturday and Sunday. Boyd was home for the weekend. Among visitors here for Memorial Day were Ruth Marshall, Verdell and Minnie Neilson of Tropic; Bea Workman of Glendale; the Andy Coreys of Cedar City; Rea Dodds, Lula Davis and the Roy Nortons of Panguitch. The Desmon Deuels of Blue Diamond, Nevada and Martha Peterson and friends of Cedar visited Mrs. Effie Deuel. Weekend visitors at the Orlas Riggs home were the John Riggs and the Earl Riggs families of Layton, the Leslie Footes and small son of Salt Lake and the Jerry Riggs of St. George. Mrs. Llona Johnson who has been teaching school here returned to Spring City, Le- land Riggs took her home Wednesday. The Keith Workmans of Cedar City visited Mr. and Mrs. George Workman one day last week and helped his father remodel his house. Visitors at the Eric Barn-hursts were the Gareld Wil-cock family of Payson for 3 days, Mr. and Mrs. Dilworth Beckstrom and girls of Panguitch one day. The Barn-hurst's son Mervin is home after graduating from a Salt Lake Trade Tech. school. Kindergarten started Monday with Jean Hansen of Pangultch as teacher. Tho Mammoth Lumber Co. is converting to long length logs and are getting trucks for hauling such logs. Russel Wilson went to Salt Lake last week and flew to Denver to purchase a new quick way loader. Mrs. Sarah Porter, Maggie Barnhurst and Eldan Porter attended graduating exercles at BYU Friday where Laura Porter was a graduate. Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Wilkes and sons of Bicknell visited the Jesse Wilsons Thursday. Mr. and Mrs. Boyd Evans of Calif, visited here one day. The Lamond Davis family and Hal Wilcock visited in Cannonville Friday night, La mond and Judy attended the graduating exercises in Tropic. Sherrell and Mary Davis visited the Lamond Davis' on Wednesday, then Sunday La mond accompanied them to Cedar Breaks. The Osmyn Deuels visited at Dixie Sunday, enroute home they brought back Mrs. Abbie Fallis who spent the weekend with the Gam Black-burns. The Max Haneys took Mr. George Haney to Escalante for Memorial Day and he stayed to visit. The Haneys went to Salt Lake Wednesday to have Max's leg fit for a new one. The Earl Weidemans of Nevada are visiting the Garth Heaps and the Calvin Wilsons. The Glenn Lowders of Sprlngville visited Sunday at the Karl Lowder home. Donald Heap is home after ir a week's visit in Nevada. Several people attended the wedding of Gene and Veruo Friday at St. George. Among those were Mr. and Mrs. Howard Prince who also went through the Temple for the first time. Moving here for the summer are the Oscar Taylors, he has been teaching at Tabonia; the Ferrlll Lazenbys, he has been teaching at Blanding; the LaVal Sawyers who have been living in Richfield. |
