Show HATCH Reva Lowder Speakers in Sunday Sacrament meeting were Stake visitors W. Young and Mr. Twit-hell. Curtis Wilson graduated from Primary and passed on to be a deocon. PTA meeting was held Thursday evening under direction of Pres. Beulah Harrison. Guest speaker was Flora Bardwcll who talked about "Health". Wiley Huntington and Eldan Porter spoke on "the effects of alcohol." Refreshments were served by Theora Heap, Marie L. Wilson and Reva Lowder. Maggie Barnhurst and Gal Wll-cock were sustained as committee members to select new officers for the next two years of PTA. Word was received by the E. F. Tureks that their son Vincent, who Is teaching in Calif., received a year's schol-arshlp in chemistry at the University of Utah. They will live at Provo where Elllene will teach at BYU while he commutes to his studies. The Tureks' oldest son Capt. E. H. Turek was chosen as a counselor in the Bishopric at Portland, Ore. where he lives with his wife and 3 sons. The Relief Society held Its annual 17th of-March program with a lovely lunch and a wonderful program. Earl, Larry and Stanton Sawyer of Page visited over tho weekend with their families here. Maxine, the. new baby and their other children returned with them. The Amasa Low ders from Springville were Saturday visitors at the Karl Lowders. The Max Burrows family of Fredonia visited in town Friday and Saturday. The Allen Huntingtons of Fredonia spent Sunday with the Wiley Huntingtons. The Scouts, under direction of leader Duard Riggs gave a court of honor program Sunday evening. Receiving awards were Duard Riggs, Stanley Huntington, Hugh Wilson, Dale Porter, Kirk, and Steven Evans, Hal Wilcock, Kenneth Barnhurst. Mr. and Mrs. Calvin Wilson went to St George Thuisday to get Miss Agnes Wilson who visited here several days. Saturday the Don Wilsons and 3 sons visited at the Calvin Wll-son home. The Ronald Sawyers went , to Salt Lake last week to seek employment. Boyd Huntington visited In Kanab Saturday and Sunday. |
