Show Bryce Shows Nov. Gain Travel to Bryce Canyon National Park during November exceeded that of any other November on record, Supt. Louis W. Hallock announced. Total number of visitors coming into the park during the month was 3,796, an amazing 48 percent Increase over travel recorded for Nov. of '59. As of Nov. 30, travel to Bryce Canyon during 1960 stood at 269,587 visitors. On this same date in 1959 the greatest travel year in the park's history, 276,565 visit-ors had entered Bryce. Although travel is still 2.5 per cent behind last year at this time, 1960 will be the park's second largest travel year. SupL Hallock reminds that the park stays open year around. During winter months roads leading to the lower view points are plowed by park crews after each storm. A ranger is on duty In the Visitor Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day of the year. |
