Show SCIENCE FAIR TO BE HELD AT CSU Panguitch Junior High and High School Science students have received a personal Invitation to prepare an exhibit for the 5th annual Science Fair to be held at College of Southern Utah on Friday and Saturday, April 17-18. CSU Prof. Theron Ashcroft, director of the fair, vis ted with "Mr. Foy at the high schoo on Wednesday to extend tffe invitation. Prof. Ashcroft Ind'cated that lertlficales, avards and scholarships would be presented to winning exhibits and all exhibitors will receive membcrsh'p in the Utah Junior Academy of Arts, Science and Letters, sponsor of the big show. Winners tn each division at CSU will compete at the State Science Fair, May 0, at USU in Logan. The CSU science professor said that the Fair has been designed to encourage talented students to develop and display special Interests and activities along scientific lines. Prof. Ashcroft Indicated there Is a great need for trained perrons in all fields of scientific endeavor. "We must do all possible to encourage capable young people to consider a career in science," he said. |
